Why Consume Coconut Fiber?

Beneficial Fiber from Coconuts

Coconut fiber is a very important nutrient.

We all know that fiber is good for us, right? At least we should because the media bombards us day and night about the fact that we ought to get more of it in our daily diets.

What's important to realize is that there are several types of fiber and they function differently.

One type is digestible (soluble) and the other type is indigestible (insoluble). Digestible (soluble) fiber is digested by the system and provides calories. Indigestible (insoluble) fiber has no calories because it's not broken down in any way by the body.

Naturopathic doctors and other holistic health practitioners recommend a range of 20-35 grams of fiber per day.

Are You Getting Enough?

Some people are, and some aren't. If you are, that's great.

If you're not, fiber from coconuts can help you out!

Of all the reputable dietary fibers out there, you can't really use anything better for your body. Here's a further explanation...

Compared to other fibers like oat or wheat bran, the fiber from coconut offers twice as much. Of course, oat and wheat bran are the most common and are very beneficial. However, wheat bran doesn't have the best taste.

Coconut fiber is very different. In comparison to all of the indigestible fibers, it has a great flavor combined with a high proportion of fiber. It's also one of the most concentrated forms of dietary fiber, so a little bit goes a long way.

In fact, it only takes a small serving size of several tablespoons/day to be advantageous to your health.

So, if you are interested in adding more fiber to your diet, or you want to increase your energy level, simply add some fresh or dried coconut to your food.

To fulfill the 20 grams/day goal, you would need to eat 8 tablespoons of fresh coconut or 4 tablespoons of dried.

You'll be very grateful for the health benefits that follow.
