Compost made from coco peat land reclamation impact
Currently, during cultivation under intensive methods to increase productivity, farmers use too much fertilizer do for a long time to become infertile soil, increasing crop yields low. In particular, for the sand dunes area in Ba Tri very little organic matter, nutrient-poor balance of low fertility, lack of protein. On the other hand, this is the land of tree-crops, farmers grow more crops annually in rotation, so the land is increasingly severe discoloration.
To meet the demand for organic fertilizer, biological farmers, Centre for application of science and technology (S & T) under the Department of Science and Technology of Ben Tre was carried out to implement the project: "Impact Assessment of compost produced from coco peat to improve soil ". Objective topics to evaluate the effectiveness of compost produced from coco peat characteristics for physics, chemistry, biology, earth mounds of sand after three cases of cultivation; evaluate the effectiveness of the coco peat compost for vegetable crop yields, namely lettuce and cucumber. Thereby, to raise awareness of people in the use of compost produced from coco peat, towards sustainable agricultural production.
In 2012, the Center Application of advanced S & T survey, select the empirical model in cooperative group of vegetable production in Tan Binh village, Tan Thuy, Ba Tri District, which covers an area of growing vegetables is quite large in the province while farmers have experienced growing vegetables. The object is experimental plant vegetables and cucumber salad.
Tran Van Ha in Tan Binh village, Tan Thuy, Ba tri farmers involved in the production and experimental center. Results over 2 seasons lettuce and cucumber, high yielding crops. Organic fertilizer production from coconut acne affects the following season, contributing to improving land, especially land-growing vegetables, which are low in nutrients, reduce environmental pollution, create agricultural products safety for consumers.
